Motion Church, Puyallup — Two 11.5 × 20 ft Walls, Built in Seven Days

The brief. Late September 2018. The church’s AV integrator — a San Francisco firm — called with a women’s conference opening in early October and no display. Two 11.5 × 20′ walls needed.

The challenge. The schedule. Nothing else.

What we did. Components were in stock. Four consecutive overnight assembly shifts. Seven days production, five days shipping — likely the fastest manufacturing lead time for an LED video wall of this size in the industry. The integrator’s crew flew in from Pittsburgh and pulled three all-nighters over three days for assembly, rigging and configuration.

The result. The conference opened on schedule. Outside consultants noted the HDR performance — brighter whites, higher contrast, more saturated and more accurate colour — and put the image quality at close to 90% of the industry-leading solution at 40% of the cost.

The church had been quoted a 3.6mm screen by a leading competitor. 2.9mm versus 3.6mm sounds incremental and isn’t: it’s a 53% increase in pixel count.

The AV director reported the walls were a “game-changer” — attendance up, the streaming ministry visible worldwide, and congregation offering reported up. The screens were repurposed for Easter.

For integrators: this project ran through the church’s AV integrator start to finish. We manufactured, shipped and supported. They installed, commissioned and took the credit. That’s the arrangement.
